This Serial Killers Pendant was one of those projects. We made this custom piece for a close friend and client who came to us with an idea for something heavy, and completely different from the usual jewelry you see every day.

Turning an Idea Into a Custom Pendant
Our friend wanted a pendant that would have a strong presence and stand out when worn. We started with 10K yellow gold and built the piece around a substantial 93.25-gram gold weight.
From there, we worked on the stone details and overall look of the pendant. The goal wasn't to make something simple. We wanted the finished piece to have layers of detail that you could appreciate up close.
The pendant features approximately 18.145 carats total stone weight, including VS+ diamonds and gemstones.
A Lot of Stones Went Into This Piece
One of the biggest parts of creating this pendant was the amount of stone setting involved.
We also incorporated gemstones into the design, with 46 pieces weighing 0.35 carats and another 252 pieces weighing 9.085 carats.
When you look at the finished pendant, it's easy to see the shine. What you don't always see is the amount of work that goes into getting all those individual stones into the right places.
At 93.25 grams, the pendant has the weight and feel of a substantial custom piece. The warm color of the 10K yellow gold works perfectly with the diamonds and gemstones, giving the design a classic gold foundation while keeping the overall look bold and modern.

Seeing the finished pendant come together and knowing it was made specifically for our friend made the project even more rewarding.
